I wanted to take the time to write this letter welcoming you to the new Mountain Pointe Boys Basketball program. It is an honor to have the opportunity to guide your son through his high school years, using basketball as a vehicle to success. My staff and I are looking forward to a season filled with excitement and achievement, on and off the court.
For some of you this is your first time experiencing high school athletics, so let me assure you it is not like recreation, AAU or elementary school league. It’s most certainly not like going outside to play with his friends. High school athletics is all year round, and consists of academic, social, community, fundraising, and athletics activities. Players are expected to attend all team functions, with no excuses. Each day’s work out, practice and game builds on the previous one, so inconsistency, and frequent tardiness or absence is unacceptable and counter-productive. In order to maintain a solid program, academically, socially, and athletically, there must be 100% commitment by the players, parents and coaches. It is this commitment that allows us to guarantee growth and development.
However, inconsistency and lack of commitment can only guarantee failure. Our program is designed to provide a blue print for success. We cannot be held responsible for little to no progress, due to deviation from our plan by parents or players. You will get from the program what you put into it, no more and no less.
We are running a basketball program designed to shape young men into productive men. By you reading, understanding and following the steps, you will guarantee growth at one level or another, for your son. If we’re all on the same page and in constant communication, we can keep your son on the road to success.
Welcome to Mountain Pointe Boys Basketball,
